Battery Harris
64 Frost St (at Meeker Ave right by the BQE) Williamsburg, Brooklyn 11211

The ladies of Kiss & Tell are super excited to have our Kiss & Tell summer parties at the lovely new outdoor venue Battery Harris.  As always, you can expect to hear a selection of super rare vintage vinyl records from Brooklyn's absolute finest classics collectors and deep crate diggers.

This month we are delighted to have our good friends Bethany, Ron Like Hell and Sharegroove. Bethany, our resident DJ, will start off the night with some sexy tequila sunset jams.

We have a long tradition of inviting Sharegroove to play our summer parties. In the past they have been the special guest DJs at our "Wipe Out" and "Shipwrecked" beach themed parties. We are so happy to have them back on deck.

Ron Like Hell will be ushering in the late night sleazy set. Ron co-hosts our absolute favorite lower east side gay party, Wrecked, with dancefloor heartthrob Ryan Smith. Ron Like Hell also hosts the Classic Album Sundays deep listening audiophile events.

We invite you to walk the night with us, wearing your favorite shade of tangerine. Dress your ORANGE summer best, your favorite golden getup, clementine sun-suits, peach petticoat, apricot accouterments, pumpkin pumps, tangerine tunics, coral cords...

Plenty of bike parking and free air to pump your wheelz.

Hot wings & cold cider all night!

About our new summer home Battery Harris:

Queens-born owners pay tribute to the Rockaways with the name—a nod to an abandoned beach bunker in Fort Tilden park—and shore-inspired decor, including colorful stained-wood interiors, a transparent geometric roof and a wraparound deck. Richard Gibbs (Caracas Arepa Bar) dispatches spiced plates like jerk chicken wings, jalapeño mac-and-cheese pie and roasted-corn-and-cabbage slaw tossed in a Scotch-bonnet vinaigrette. Rum-heavy tipples include the Double Impact (lemon, kumquat shrub, vanilla and orange-blossom water) and the Quest (lime, basil and Angostura bitters). Also on offer: nearly 20 domestic beers and four wines on tap. (from Time Out NYC)

Ron Like Hell is a resident dj & co founder of WRECKED, a monthly Manhattan party in the East Village. Past gigs include The Bunker, Cocktail d’Amore (Berlin), Khidja (Romania), Santos Party House, Studio 54 VIP Lounge, Honcho (PGH), Mother Fucker, Honey Soundsystem (SF) and 8 successful tours in Norway. Of those past gigs, Ron has shared the decks with Prins Thomas, Rune Lindbaek , Lindstrom, Discodromo, Mike Servito, Bjorn Torske, Justin Vandervolgen, Dan Beaumont, Phil South, Sharegroove, Eric Duncan, Tim Sweeney and his Wrecked comrade, Ryan Smith. Another passion besides deejaying is researching and presenting music in various forms as a presenter at Classic Album Sundays, a monthly audio hifi album listening event created by Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy. Yet another expression in his love of sharing music are his years of record shop experience working for A1 Records, The Thing and as a sales and store manager for Satellite Records from 1998-2005. Ron owns quite a large collection of obscure and underground music of all sorts on vinyl and is loaded with many unreleased edits of his own and by others so prepare yourself for a night of freakish disco and beat heavy rock styles mixed together with love and an appreciation for the dance.

Bethany Erskine is Kiss & Tell's beautiful disco encyclopedia from Mississippi. Ever since she emigrated to Brooklyn in 2007, Bethany has ruled the dancefloor at Kiss & Tell parties with her Southern charm and excellent taste. Even the deepest crate digging record nerds are regularly awed by her rare records and can be seen trainspotting her selections. Each month she delights us with her mix of raunchy electro, glamorous dark disco, and soulful street funk. Bethany has recently been moonlighting at The Bunker party with some very memorable opening sets of space disco and house.
