Guest DJ: Mike Servito Mike Servito is a DJ’s DJ — a lifelong music fanatic with a truly unique ability to move a dance floor. Although Servito is a NYC transplant, his DJ style is unmistakably Detroit. Inspired by Detroit radio of the ‘80s and the city’s local DJs in the ‘90s, Servito came of age in a flourishing electronic music scene, making his debut in 1995 and immediately gaining the attention and respect of his peers and local techno heroes.

Servito redefined himself, finding inspiration in the new generation of electronic-music producers and DJs. Mike Servito was among the original UNTITLED residents, whose ranks include Matthew Dear, Derek Plaslaiko, Tadd Mullinix, and Ryan Elliott. He has played multiple Detroit Electronic Music Festivals and has held court with some of the best talent in the world, including artists from heavyweight labels such as Bpitch Control, Perlon, Minus, Kompakt, and DFA, as well as hometown legends Transmat, Planet E, UR, and Spectral Sound.

Guest DJ: Los Bermanos is the DJ incarnation of brother and sister duo Lara and Jeremy Berman, DC natives with an appetite for disco, italo and electro, born from hours spent in dusty basements scouring for records. Los Bermanos bring a party sensibility that is both indulgent and refined. Lara and Jeremy Berman also host their own little Brooklyn disco party Rainbow Dreams.

Older brother Jeremy Berman, before moving to New York, helped pushed the envelope of the Atlanta nightlife. He curated some of the city’s most debauched nights with first-ever Atlanta performances from acts like James Murphy, Damian Lazarus and M.A.N.D.Y. He often booke Kiss & Tell Resident Bethany Benzur at his parties too. Now living in NYC and fresh off a successful string of backroom LES parties The Wet Set, Jeremy has hosted and played alongside downtown favorites Lee Douglas, Mike Servito, James Friedman, My Cousin Roy, Eamon Harkin and more. His own productions are heating up as well: Jeremy’s productions have are garnering nods from legends like I-f and Alden Tyrell. When not building synths and digging through record piles at The Thing, Jeremy writes for the music store/blog:

Kiss & Tell Resident DJ: Bethany Benzur is our beautiful disco encyclopedia and vinyl purist from Georgia. Ever since she emigrated to Brooklyn in 2007, Bethany has been ruling the dancefloor at Kiss & Tell parties with her Southern charm and excellent taste. Even the deepest crate digging record nerds are regularly awed by her rare records and can be seen trainspotting her selections. Each month she delights us with her mix of raunchy electro, glamorous dark disco, and soulful street funk. Bethany has recently been moonlighting at The Bunker party with some very memorable opening sets of space disco and house. Kiss & Tell will be presenting the closing night festivities at the Communikey Festival in Boulder, Colorado in April 2011, where Bethany will be playing alongside Kiss & Tell favorite Mike Huckaby.

Kiss & Tell Hostess, Photographer: Seze Devres started Kiss & Tell as an extension of her raunchy knitting circle at Trash Bar on December 7, 2005. At first only a few people showed up to her new cocktail party. However with a lot of help, support, and encouragement from her friends the party has become its own little monster. When she is is not dreaming up crazy themes and guests for Kiss & Tell she is a full time artist and designer. Seze's images and designs have graced dozens of galleries, record covers, posters, flyers, magazines, and web sites. She also co-hosts and photographs the guests of The Bunker, a world renowned weekly techno party in Brooklyn.
